Parents with children up to age 5 are invited to attend a community playgroup from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Thursdays, at Wilsonville United Methodist Church, 7355 S.W. Wilsonville Road.The Wilsonville group is one of many groups that meet in Clackamas County. They are supported by Healthy Start/Healthy Families of Clackamas County and all the meeting locations businesses, and funded by the Clackamas County Children, Youth and Families Division.

In five years, Grace Chapel of Wilsonville has raised more than $60,000 for local community organizations through its annual rummage sale.What started as an effort to help alleviate hunger and poverty in the community has only solidified its focus, gaining momentum from year to year as the local worship organization has donated all of the proceeds to many individuals and organizations, including Coffee Creek Correctional Facility, Head Start, Royal Family Kids Camp, Lion’s Pride, Wilsonville library, several homeless ministries, missions teams and many Wilsonville families.

Green and growing, the forested areas in the north Willamette Valley offer not only beauty through nature, but opportunity as well.What many don’t know is that the woodlands in Clackamas and Marion counties are primarily owned by families, not the government. And those folks want to make something happen with that property.
