Located in Oregon City, WFMC serves Damascus, Milwaukie, Oregon City, Wilsonville, and the Unincorporated region of Clackamas County. If you live, work or go to school in one of these areas, you are eligible to become a WFMC Television Producer. Certification Classes are provided for any resident in the WFMC Service Area for no out of pocket cost. You can take these classes as many times as you would like. The actual cost to you is copy of your program to air on the public channel!

There are (3) Introductory Classes to becoming a WFMC Producer:
Basic DV Camera Hands on learning with consumer/professional grade field cameras.  Once certified, you will have the ability to check out cameras for a 24 hour period.
Four people max per session.
Basic Editing We offer Adobe Premiere Pro for Windows Users, and Final Cut Studio for Mac Users.  You will learn how to use this software to edit your footage and create broadcast quality content.
Two people max per session.
Basic Studio Production You will learn how to create an in-house production within a controlled environment. Studio work is beneficial for green screening, music videos or discussion formats (such as LIVE shows, forums, workshops and interviews) where you need to control light, sound and picture quality.
This class is recommended for a production crew (minimally three people; preferably eight).

To complete certification all WFMC Television Producers are required to produce a 30 second PSA as your first WFMC assignment using field equipment or an edit suite. Television Producers are required to participate in a WFMC studio production before release for independent studio work. Producers are required to submit a facility request form prior to starting a new project.

*Individual time with an instructor and your project are available as Advanced Classes.
